Family and music is my life!

Hi! I’m Alex – proud husband to Tracy and even prouder dad to Ivy and Izzy. When I’m not immersed in music, you’ll find me travelling the world with my family, soaking up new experiences and creating memories together.

My musical journey began at 13 when I walked past a drum lesson at high school and thought, “Why not give that a go?” That spontaneous decision sparked something that would shape my entire life. Over the years, I played drums in bands, secured management and recording deals, toured extensively, and even made the odd TV appearance. Eventually, I transitioned to a more front-facing role – picking up a guitar, finding my voice, and performing at local bars before being invited to perform at events around the world.

Through all those years of performing, I naturally gravitated towards weddings and events, and I’ve been fortunate enough to make it my living since the mid-2000s. I remember being captivated watching performers like KT Tunstall using loop pedals, and catching an early Ed Sheeran performance of “You Need Me” before he became a household name – that’s when I bought my first Boss looper. My act evolved from there as I moved away from backing tracks towards a more authentic, live feel (though I’ll confess I do use the odd track these days!).

I’ve always been a bit of a tech geek too – software development, electronics, and programming have been lifelong interests. I love bringing that technical expertise into the entertainment world, whether it’s designing programmed lighting shows, streamlining equipment setups, or building custom control boards for performances. It’s become a signature part of what I offer.

More recently, as I’ve sought to prioritise family time at weekends, I’ve taken a more selective, exclusive approach to weddings and events. This shift was helped by an incredible opportunity that perfectly combined my twin passions for technology and music – a director position at a major music company working with some of the biggest names in the industry. I now help drive release campaigns to the top of the charts for artists like Kylie, Oasis, James, and The Prodigy, amongst others.

So whether I’m performing, planning unforgettable events, or working behind the scenes in the music industry – it all comes back to music and family. Those are the two things that matter most.

How this translates to our service?

It’s simple, it’s personal and all about family!

These celebrations are always huge events and milestones in your lives and I 100% get it.

When you book me, it’s me who’ll be there on your big day, working tirelessly to bring your vision to life and create exactly the atmosphere you’re dreaming of.

When we meet to plan your entertainment, it’s me you’ll be chatting with – and honestly, most couples are surprised by just how much thought goes into planning the programme. It’s not simply about choosing songs; it’s about crafting the right atmosphere for each part of your day, involving the guests who matter most to you, and ensuring everything feels natural and authentic – never cheesy.

I want everyone to leave your wedding thinking it was at least a great wedding. But here’s the thing – that’s not good enough for me, and it shouldn’t be for you either. I want your closest friends and family to walk away saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. More importantly, I want them to say it was unmistakably, uniquely yours.

That’s what I and every member of our team strive for.
