What Is Live Looping?
Live looping is a performance technique where a musician records and layers sounds in real time using a loop pedal or looping station, building up a full, multi-layered track from scratch — right in front of your eyes. I start with a guitar riff, layer in percussion, add bass lines, harmonies, and vocals, all performed live and stacked on top of each other until you’ve got the sound and energy of a full band, created by just one person.
It’s not a backing track. It’s not pre-recorded. Every layer is performed live, every single time. That means each performance is completely unique, and the energy in the room builds as your guests watch the song come together piece by piece. It’s part concert, part spectacle, and it creates an atmosphere that simply can’t be replicated by a standard singer-with-backing-tracks setup.
